Chile is the ultimate ‘land of extremes’ – from deserts and remote islands, to temperate rainforest and frozen ice fields, it has it all. Whether you crave adventure, relaxation, history, culture or wildlife, you will find it in Chile. And the best part of all is that there is a myriad of unique, luxurious hotels that can be found in every region. Here we have selected 5 of our favourites.
1. Tierra Chiloe
As the name suggests, the Tierra Chiloe Hotel is located on the remote island of Chiloe on Chiles western coast. This is a wild and mysterious part of the world, where few tourists venture and the area is steeped in mythological stories and a deep-rooted culture. Atop a cliff overlooking the ocean and with the stunning snowy peaked volcanoes in the distance, you can find Tierra Chiloe.
The Tierra brand owns 3 hotels, all in Chile and all very exclusive. They are known for their extravagant architecture, exquisite service and world-class food. This hotel of the three is no exception, and visitors will not be disappointed. Elements of the natural world have been incorporated into the rooms which are contemporary in design and boast huge panoramic windows. The hotel offers a selection of excursions from horseback riding and trekking, through to boat trips exploring the fjords on the hotels very own boat named Williche. At the end of the day, guests are invited to enjoy Chilean cuisine feature local ingredients, and relax in the full spa which has views over the Pullao wetlands.
